Friday started out OK, leaving work early and all, but I got on the computer to work on my paper at 1:30 and, I'm not even kidding you, I didn't finish my paper until 10:30!!! 9 hours is for sure the longest time I've ever worked on a paper, at least 9 hours straight! Ugh. I've pretty much avoided the computer like the plague since then.
Saturday we went grocery shopping and I saved lots of money! It was exciting. Well, I was excited.
Saturday night was the football game. Brad made some yummy chili and we hung out with the family. Michele, Mat, Eric, and Chris came over and guess what? The Gamecocks won! And Clemson lost! Woohoo!!
We finished the night off real late watching Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. I don't care who you are, Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the greatest movie series ever!!
Today we had a lazy, yet pretty productive, day. Let me explain...
I definitely slept until noon, I'm not going to lie. I was up until about 2 the night before and I was definitely whooped from the work week, my Friday paper, and the festivities from game day. So I think sleeping until noon was warranted.
What do you do when you wake up? You eat breakfast! Cracker Barrel it was! I absolutely love breakfast at Cracker Barrel. For $20 (including tax and tip) Brad and I each got a Sunrise Sampler including eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hashbrown casserole, grits, and two buttermilk biscuits with sausage gravy, butter, and jam. It was so awesome, it always is.
Then a lazy afternoon continued. We watched some more football (go Vikings!) and NASCAR (yeah Tony!). And my fur-babies cuddled with me.
Not the most attractive picture of me, at all, but it does show three of my four babies snuggling with me. Here is a frontal of Buster, such a cuddler!
I did lots of laundry during this time, cleaned up around the house a bit, and yanked my Halloween decorations from the attic - finally. I almost didn't do it because I was getting to it so late, but better late than never! More on that tomorrow though.
For dinner we had Asian chicken tenders with honey glazed carrots and tropical fruit rice, it was pretty good and looked spectacular, so colorful!
And I'm going to close this by saying: I can't wait for Halloween tomorrow!! We're not doing anything special but I just love all the trick-or-treaters! I can't wait to see the costumes!!
